How much do you charge for a counseling session?
Individual psychotherapy is $220 – $250 per session. Group therapy is $90 per session. Some sliding scale fees available for group therapy.

How long is a counseling session?
The first session I like to spend extra time with new clients so it is usually about one hour and 15 minutes long. After the first session, sessions are 55 minutes long.
Do you take insurance?
I am out of network for all insurance companies. I can provide you with a statement to bill your insurance if reimbursement is possible through your insurance company or if you wish to use a Medical Services Account.
What are your usual hours and do you work week-ends?
My hours are: 10:30 A.M.-7:00 P.M. and my two psychotherapy groups meet 6:30-8 P.M. Tues and Wednesday. Special requests for an appointment time depends upon availability. I do not work on week-ends.
How long is a client usually in therapy with you?
It depends upon the issue and how the client wishes to work on their problem. I can work short term or work long term in-depth. Sometimes I meet with a client for just a few sessions and I also do longer term work lasting several months.
What is your approach to counseling and psychotherapy?
I have been trained in a number of theories. For social anxiety I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior change through assignments, insight oriented talk therapy, empathy and support, intersubjective-relational theory. My approach is humanistic and interpersonal. I work with social anxiety, depression, anxiety, work stress, relationship issues, codependency, loss, and life transitions such as marriage or moving in, retiring, new child in the family, or moving to a new geographical area.
- This psychotherapy work is personally designed for you to make positive change in relationships, behavior patterns which are not working well for you, and self-esteem. We will also work on your interpersonal skills and help you feel less distress and stress and loneliness in your life.
For group psychotherapy, my approach is Yalom-style Interpersonal/relationship/ process. I was personally trained by Dr. Irvin Yalom for 3 years. I have studied many other approaches through the American Group Psychotherapy Association. (AGPA).
